PPP is a rare, chronic, inflammatory skin condition that primarily affects the palms and soles, characterized by sterile pustules and erythematous hyperkeratotic lesions. The disease significantly impacts QOL, with patients often experiencing severe pain, pruritus, and functional impairment, which can interfere with daily activities. Despite the burden of the disease, there are currently no approved treatments specifically for PPP outside of Japan, and treatment options are limited to off-label use of systemic therapies and biologics.
PPP001 is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study with an OLE Period designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of bimekizumab in study participants with PPP with or without concomitant plaque PSO.
